A project or product where art, design, technology and engineering collide to create something eye-catching, disruptive and different to the norm.

Entries are encouraged from all engineering disciplines and inspiration can come from anywhere. The entry may have a practical or functional purpose, or it may be a work of art ‘for art’s sake’.

 

To Be Envi.Ed

  • A visionary approach to conception and development that displays the nominee’s creative process.

  • Projects or products that break the mould and go beyond the ordinary to display creative brilliance in engineering.

  • Creative flair, in whatever form that takes – aesthetic beauty, a convergence of form, function and style, innovative use of materials – or something completely different!

Criteria

  • Entries are open to individuals, teams, firms or other groups

  • Projects or products eligible

  • Work substantially completed in New Zealand, by engineers who are New Zealand citizens or permanent residents

  • May include work by non-engineers

  • Work substantially completed between 3 August 2017 and 2 August 2019

  • Do not have to be Engineering New Zealand members

  • Can enter multiple award categories
