Dedication to the development of the nominee’s career as an engineer, including leadership potential, goal-setting, and positive contribution to their professional community.
Finalists will be interviewed by the judging panel as part of the judging process and must show great communication skills.
Criteria
Entries are open to individuals
New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
A qualified engineer from any of the broad fields
Aged 31 or younger on 28 February 2021
Have not been a recipient of the award previously under the Engineering New Zealand or IPENZ awards
Finalists must be available for an interview with the judging panel
Does not have to be an Engineering New Zealand member
Judging Criteria
Vision – leadership and influencing skills
Opportunity – an understanding of how their work can impact and contribute to society
Delivery – excellence in a significant engineering project, activity or body of work
Impact – brilliance in communicating ideas
